Please celebrate with me! I just learned that two of my pieces from the "Letters" series were selected for the "Global Colors" exhibition at the Scarab Club. It will run from July 10 to Aug. 3, 2013. The artist reception is Friday, July 12, 6-9 p.m.The two pieces have not been exhibited before and are "Letter from Moscow" and "Letter from Bogota". The Scarab Club is located at 217 Farnsworth St., Detroit, 48202, behind the Detroit Institute of Art. If you have never been to the Scarab Club, it is an arts center in a nearly 100 year old building. The beams have been signed by many well known artists over the years.
I have white, natural color, and dyed rovings as well as handspun and millspun yarns from my sheep. My summer yarn is lambs wool mixed with cotton from Sikeston, Missouri spun at Zeilingers in Frankenmuth.
Folks are welcome to visit the horses, goats and sheep.
