Don't forget! The combined SDA-SAQA picnic and yard sale will take place rain or shine next Sunday!
It will be a pot luck picnic, so get out your favorite recipes and prepare to wow us. Bring a single piece of your work for show and tell as well.
For the sale, please have everything labeled with your name and the price. You will be responsible for selling your own things. If you have a portable table, please bring it, or a blanket for the ground. You might want to come a few minutes early to set up. You will also be responsible for taking anything that hasn't sold home with you.
Some suggestions: books (I have a lot of quilting books and others that need to find a new home), hand dyed or commercial fabrics, dyes and appropriate auxiliaries, fiber paints, hand printed fabrics, pdf fabrics, threads, embellishments (think mixed media), batting, finished items, too.
The date: Sunday, June 24th at 2 p.m.
The place: Susie Krage's home in historic Indian Village.
1731 Seminole St, Detroit, 48214

The things to bring:
One item for show and tell
Its a potluck so bring a dish to share and your favorite beverage.
Sale items and a table or blanket for the ground.
Sale participants might want to bring small bills and change.
This promises to be an exciting event. Dare I say, "BE THERE OR BE SQUARE"? Someone told me I must be old to remember that saying!
It will be a great chance to mingle with others who love fiber as well as to see their work. Get inspired! And maybe find a treasure to include in your next piece.
